Thank you for a detailed breakdown of organic coffees. I didn’t know there was even such thing! I would go with Koa. I love the idea of hand-picked beans. Also, if Forbes gives it the thumbs up, I trust it.

Reply

Hi, yes I agree with you about trusting Forbes. I like the authenticity and traditional farming methods this company uses. Thank you so much for stopping by and commenting. Hope to hear from you again in the future. All the best.

Great artilcle. I have been an organic advocate and advid coffee drinker for years, I am surprised at myself for taking so long to look for organic coffee. One of my favorite organic coffees is Cafe Mam.

I really prefer low acid coffee though, as it agrees with my lifestyle a little better. I haven’t found any good organic, low acid ones.

Any advice?

Reply

Hi Jim,
I am delighted to hear that you have made this transition.
I can indeed recommend a low acid organic coffee. Please use this link.
The same company also does and french roast and a decaf.
I hope this helps you!

What is Kosher coffee? I am not an avid coffee drinker like some are but that has me curious.

Reply

Hi Gary,
Brilliant question. If food is Kosher it meets the requirements of Jewish law. Coffee bean can be Kosher because water is the only substance it comes into contact with during harvesting, precessing and roasting. Concern about coffee becoming in-kosher arise when flavouring, decaffeinating and when drinking in a non-kosher environment. I hope this answers you question. All the best.

Outstanding article. I am not much of a coffee drinker, but I love organic, and fine and exotic coffees make amazing gifts. So thank you for this list. One question I have is that some types of milk supposedly add flavor to coffee while other types diminish it. If this is true, would you have a personal suggestion for the Kona Cofee?

Thank you

Reply

Thank you for the compliments on my article Dennis. I hadn’t really thought of using exotic coffees as gifts before; what a great idea! Really pleased to hear that you are already making the choice to consume organic produce over inorganic as this will promote your health. With regards to your question. I personally prefer my coffee black but on occasion I will have a little milk and sugar. I have found that with the right quantities, the flavours can be enhanced. To much milk and the coffee will be ruined. Also I would recommend using organic milk whole milk. Does this answer your question. Thank you and hope to hear from you again soon.

I haven’t had organic coffee before. Is there much of a difference in taste from a non-organic coffee of the same quality?

Reply

Hi Eric. I personally believe there is a difference. Some brands are better than others, as with in-organic coffee. It is also important to remember that everybody has an individual taste pallet. I would recommend giving it a try, sticking to the grade that you already enjoy (light/medium/dark roast). You might never look back!

Ooo organic coffee that helps you lose weight? I am so sold! I personally make my coffee in a french press, and I also like to drink it on an empty stomach. The only thing is, I need to have creamer in my coffee to be able to drink it. I think some creamer would make a difference. LOL. I wouldn’t mind paying extra for the fact that its marketed to help you lose weight.

Reply

Hi Sophia,
I love using a french press. I haven’t used it in ages but think I will have to dig it out now that you reminded me.
I personally don’t use or recommend creamer as it is known as a heart stopper.
If you find the taste of coffee too bitter, I would recommend trying a lighter roast or adding a little organic whole milk and brown sugar.
Glad that you have found something that you would like to try.
All the best with it Sophia and thank you for leaving a comment.

I had really never heard of organic coffee before. How is the flavor compared to “regular” coffee you purchase? Are they going to have a similar flavor? I try to buy organic whenever I can. Seems like a much healthier choice. Thanks for the great reviews on what is available in organic coffee.

Reply

Hi,
Thank you for reading and commenting.
As with all brands, some are better than others.
However, I personally feel that organic coffee as a whole tastes better than inorganic coffee.
Please give it a try and let me know what you think!
All the best and take care.

Thank you for a great article! I currently drink Cameron’s Organic Coffee because it’s easy to get at my local grocery store. They have a good variety of different coffees, but their flavored varieties aren’t organic.
I must say I’m intrigued by the coffee for weight loss and I’m definitely going to check that out!
