20 comments on “Which Essential Oil Brand is Best – Find Your Favourite

I’ve been thinking about using essential oils and wondering which brand is a good one your pros and cons are really helpful. Which essential oil brand would you recommend to a newbie like me.

Reply

Hi Travis,
I would definitely recommend Organic Aromas to newbies. They have a ton of information available on their website about best practice. Although essential oils are a fantastic alternative to other chemical products; each oil is different and should be resected and treated differently. You wouldn’t pop pills without reading the label and essential oils should be treated in the same way. Please be sure you look up how to use each oil before opening. Thank you and all the best.

I’m totally new to essential oils but have heard great things. Out of curiosity, are there any concerns about running into allergies, or are these pretty safe in general?

I just tend to have skin related irritation pretty easily and didn’t see anything regarding whether or not an oil could be hypo allergenic or not. It may be a silly question! But as a total newbie I don’t want buy something that makes my skin go crazy in hives!

Hi Craig,
You can actually get essential oils that will help your allergies and I would recommend searching for the essential oil that can be used to treat it. Be sure to read carefully about how to use it as each oil is different. Some should be diffused, others applied topically and some can even be eaten. Please get professional advice before using.
Also, there are different methods for testing essential oils to ensure that you do not have an allergy before application. Please check with your local professional for further details.
I hope this clears things up for you. If you have any further questions, please reach out to me.

I have a question for you. Are fragrance oils and essential oils two different things? My wife buys oils from a company called P&J Trading, but they sell fragrance oils. Anyway, we have been shopping around for oils to use in a diffuser. I am not too well versed in all of these oils, it’s kind of confusing. Maybe you can point me in the right direction. Thanks!

Reply

Hi Steve,
Please stay away from fragrance oils! I am not familiar with this particular company, however I do know that many fragrance oils can be detrimental to your health. Please look for ‘pure essential oils’ in the future. They have a huge range of health benefits when used correctly.
I would also recommend familiarising yourself with only one or two to begin with. Each oil is very different and can be used in different ways.
Safe essential oils such as lavender, chamomile and frankincense are the ones that I would usually recommend to beginners.
I hope this helps. Please get back in touch if you have any further questions.

I love this review!

Thank you so much for reviewing different companies with pros and cons, I am always struggling to decide on a company.

I always hear about the usual ones like Doterra, and I often wonder if the products are really as good as they say. I know that they do a lot of promoting people to join and sell their products, which too me seems like a bit of a scam.
What are your thoughts on this?

Hi Brianne,

I am not familiar with the company that you mention. Every company is different and you should do your research on them and their products before purchasing.
I recommend always buying pure essential oils and if you can afford to pay for organic then you should do this too.
I hope that this has cleared things up a little bit for you.
All the best!
